I work with individuals and couples to explore the complexities of bi/multi-racial identities, cross-cultural adoption, and inter-racial relationship issues. My intention is to help you make sense of your cross-cultural experience. I encourage you to examine how cultural differences impact your personal perceptions, daily functioning, and relationship choices.

I also work with addressing concerns around cultural transitions. Whether it’s your first cultural adjustment experience or you are a seasoned international traveler moving from one culture to another, transitions frequently present challenges to individuals and family members. While moving is often an opportunity for significant personal and professional growth, it is not uncommon to feel overwhelmed by the internal and external changes that arise when living in different cultural contexts.

Re-entry is another common theme to address. Oftentimes, the hardest transition is experienced when reentering your culture of origin. You might find that your awareness, insight and sensitivity no longer seem to match those of your original community. When working with adults and children returning from or going to another culture, I provide a supportive space in which to explore the thoughts, feelings and questions that arise around transitions.

We shall not cease from exploration.
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started.
And to know the place for the first time.
